Beef brisket pho

Was in the mood to enjoy some pho this week so I whipped up the broth tonight so I can reheat a big bowl as we want.

4# brisket flat and a few pounds of beef bones.

Pulled the brisket out at 2 hours in on simmer so as to not overcook it.

Pretty easy recipe to read and follow. The stock is wonderful. It’ll be even better tomorrow.

 
I’ve had Pho bepho but I don’t think it had brisket in it. But then I’m not sure what was in it 🤷🏼

Soup battle! :) Looking good, Brett! I was looking for my next soup recipe, might have found it!

I added shallots to the roasted veggies and more ginger. The broth last night was very good. It’ll need some final seasoning before serving IMO, for how I like my broth to taste. The aromatics are super accurate in this recipe. And the flavor isn’t sweet. Very close to balanced but I like a little more fish sauce and some salt to enhance the beef flavor.

I’ll be watching for your cook up.
