BBQ Gloves.

It looks like I'll be in the market for a new pair of bbq gloves, the old ones are getting trashed. But I'm having trouble finding a pair that are relatively thin, close fitting and do not feel like you have a pair of boxing gloves on. I can't find the gloves that I currently have online.
I've ordered several pairs online and returned them all. They're all so cumbersome.
Suggestions gratefully received. Thanks.

For what task(s)?

I bought a few packs of these from Home Depot early spring on sale.
I wouldnt use them for anything super hot but for handling greasy grates or grabbing a butt or brisket or just cleaning they work.
Washable.

Check your local welding shop for welding gloves. I've got a set of Tillmans for TIG welding that seem like they may fit your needs.

I've dabbled in TIG, MIG & stick welding many years ago, (not very successfully I may add), an option for sure. Thanks.

I don't know what you have available in the UK, but here in the States well-stocked welding stores are commonly found in cities of any size. In my local shop they have an entire aisle of welding gloves, in all sizes and thicknesses.

I have small hands, so finding gloves is usually an ordeal, but the store had more than a dozen choices. Found one that's supple and provides for good dexterity, but still has enough insulation on the back of the hand and fingers to prevent burns from handling the hot charcoal chimney. The clerk told me they sell more gloves to BBQers than to welders!

I use TIG gloves for my cooks.
I get them free from work because I am a TIG welder among other things.
There are actually several different types of TIG gloves.
I prefer the regular smooth sheepskin ones but I dig the heavier pig skin ones also.
I can’t stand the super thin swade (so?) ones.
My hands are an average size large but when I get TIG gloves I get a size medium and they will then properly form to my hand.
I can’t stand gloves that don’t fit properly so I’m a real ***** when it comes to this.

Yep. Plenty welding suppliers in my town. I think I'm going down this road. Thanks.

Managed to track down the old style of gloves I've been using. They had a couple of pairs of NOS on the shelf. (y)
Thanks for all your suggestions.
