Alaska day Tri tip!

Howdy folks... Today is Alaska Day "which happens to be the day that ownership of Ak was transferred from Russia to the US!"

Any how still worked but that's ok! Did some Tri tip and veggies tonight! Started things off with some marinated roast and sweet taters split and buttered! Planning a slower cook and added some hickory for flavor!

And I though I would throw a picture of my one tree that changes color(note the snow on the mountain)

Yep more snow...down to about 600 ft today..weather man says it might be down at our level this weekend!

And all plated! Just butter and S&P on tater...steamed carrots and sprinkled with some seasoning, zukes and meat and some more yummy apricot ale!

Morgan, you know how to roll! That's a great looking meal. The frozen north, though, I just don't know....
 
MORGAN!!!! It's like the mighty Cassey at bat brother. I like the way you swing for the fences. This one is definitely a TATER!! :) great looking cook and pics of the scenery. I've got to try a Tri Tip, never went down that road.
 
I was there for my 60th. Wish I had known you were there, would have dropped for a bite! I like the sweet taters on the WSM, got the idea from you. They worked out well.:)

Happy AK Day Morgan! If it makes you feel any better, I worked today too and ate leftovers that weren't nearly that pretty.
 
Beautiful cooking, everything looks perfect. I love meat, but i like especially zucchini seasoned with parmesan cheese. Thanks for the inspiration Morgan.
