so, GB fans, does this make you happy? sad? indifferent?

and Jets fans, what says you? good or no good for the team?

draft kicks off this Thursday. maybe it's going to be a crazy week!?!?!?!

He’s a diva and likely GB wants none of it. It’s not like he’s really going anywhere and doing anything. Save one ring, GB hasn’t done much of anything.

And Jets will remain irrelevant. No harm intended to Jets fans

Why even go there? Did you really not learn anything from the Duel / Mopar thread fiasco and your contribution to it? It was only yesterday for cryin’ out loud.

I'm indifferent as a Niners fan. He presented challenges at times but the Niners also served him up his worst defeat ever, IIRC, on a Thursday night game two years ago. It was kinda a shame he didn't play for his home team, being a local player and all.

I also don't think this will be a boon for the JETS. they somehow are comfortable being perpetual losers. i did like the JETS as a kid in NY. but they were never anything special, real, dynasty, or even consistent winners. mostly losing records and fans that could spell J E T S on command. my terrier dances for food on command, but that's a different story.

You went there.

And, uh, because we’re grown men having a discussion maybe? Feel free to back out and not respond, I said nothing wrong nor inflammatory. Have you bothered watching football or Rodgers the last couple years? Or just chiding? The Pack has had plenty of weapons and yet, they haven’t accomplished much other than post season flameouts. Same with the Jets, they’ve done absolutely nothing, just like they have the last…essentially forever. The two aren’t overly likely to equate to a grand turnaround.

Two very different discussions that you managed to tie at the hip. Or perhaps you feel I should be silent. Well, good luck with that one. I said that SPECIFICALLY to avoid someone getting their hackles up

I'm a football fan. I think that the Jets are an up and coming team that could definitely benefit from having a healthy Aaron Rodgers as their QB. As a Bears fan I won't miss him and hope that we can start beating the Packers again on a regular basis.

Hopefully Mr. Rodgers has better luck than Russell Wilson did in Denver, you never know for sure how it will work out. Hackett who ruined Wilson is waiting there for Rodgers. His old buddy.

They had a good season in Coach Saleh last year. With more tooling and refinement they can improve still.

Rodgers should help the Jets but, and that’s a big but, if Rodgers is a team player. I think that’s the wildcard here. Does Rodgers still have a deep desire to win as a team? Or is he so much smarter than the head coach that he doesn’t need to listen to the game plan.

It’ll be an interesting week and then coming season. I’ve enjoyed watching Rodgers play over his career. Hopefully he still has gas left in the tank and a deep desire to elevate those around him to achieve more.

If Rodgers & Hackett mesh well like they did in Green Bay, I believe that the Jets can be as good as anyone in the AFC. They have a lot of other quality players. This coming from a die hard Bronco fan. And what is really cool is the Bronco's play the Jets this coming year. So we get to see Hackett who destroyed our team & Mr. Rodgers go against Mr. Wilson. And this year we have a big time real time coach. Mr. Payton. Great story lines to this game. Gonna be guud. And a great season.

I'm not going to pretend to know what goes through his head, but since he's won all of the individual accolades that he may ever want, I think he'll go all in to push the Jets to the top. He'll make sure people know it was his doing, but I think he'll do it. If anything, just to spite GB.

I don't really pay attention to the Jets, but my impression is that they were a capable and consistent QB away from making a decent playoff run. So I think it is a good move for them. But I personally hope Rodgers falls flat on his face.

Not sure if Rodgers will enjoy playing behind that Jets O-line, only time will tell. I am not sure if the game (aka rules) have changed that much but there was a time when teams won Superbowls with good team play in all three facets of the game, and without "elite" quarterbacks. Trent Dilfer & Joe Flaco for the Ravens and Brad Johnson for the Bucs are quarterbacks that were not "elite" but they all have Superbowl rings. There are also cases where guys have "elite seasons, or even elite moments" playing on good teams, like when Nick Foles helped the Eagles defeat T Brady and the Pats in 2018. Even Payton Manning's stats in his last Superbowl win were pretty lackluster.

I agree with those who say GB may get better after this. All that negative attention had to have impacted morale..
