50% off ThermoWorks Smoke!

Well it was too good to pass up. I ordered it and a needle meat probe as well as my pellet grills are quite accurate with oven temp

I posted that in the Gas section already. They should sell a bunch at that price. I wonder if they are clearing stock to put out an updated product?

I wish they would not use USPS for shipping. They gave me a tracking number, but it's so unreliable. Ugh

Every time I look at these sales my price is never what is posted on this board.
Mine says $30 off....not sure if it is a conversion thing...????

Yeah, I jumped on the site as soon as I read it and got the $49 deal. Plus I also bought the "needle" temp probe for a nice price as well. So both together with tax and all IIRC came to $75

OK, so my new toy came today. After reading so much positive here for these products. Some initial thoughts. First, build quality seems pretty impressive. Turned the 2 units on and got pretty immediate "hookup" between them. So overall positive.
One somewhat negative observation. I was VERY disappointed to see "made in China" when I see so much touting this company's "Made in USA" trumpet.
That said it seems like a nice product. Another thing I noticed. My brother bought one of these a while back. He loves it. But his cam with a nice case. Oh well.

Where Are We?

ThermoWorks is located just south of Salt Lake City, Utah. The workforce here is highly educated and there are several thermal instrument and data logging companies in the state. While a few of our products are manufactured here, many are made for us by partner factories in Europe, Asia and the USA. Most of our in-house staff is engaged in marketing, technical support, product definition, design, and operations. We run our own calibration lab and service departments. Most products can be repaired right here. We do not outsource our order desk nor our warehouse and fulfillment. All of this is done by ThermoWorks staff so you can speak directly with people that know something about the products and the status of your order.

Not sure what the big deal is aren't the Thermapro stuff made in China.

Some of us who bought that product were lectured pretty well about buying them BECAUSE they're made in China. I'm no fan of that, but quite sadly it's the reality of our world and the greedy who run it. Gven how much critism there was because of it, I fully expected to see at the very least "assmembled in USA with global parts" or some such thing.

I had to buy a case. I waited for a sale. They are nice cases.

Tonight I am using a ThermoPro TempSpike that I received as a gift from @Bruce a while back. It seems to be working very well, although it struggles with connectivity if I push it too far in my split-level house with a stone exterior.
