This was my 2nd attempt with the kettlepizza oven. the 1st time i tried it i built the fire on the charcoal grate (full chimney of weber briquets then some birchwood.)

This time i thought why not put the fire on the same level as the pizza is at, as in a real pizza oven. this worked far better, temps were in the 700f range after i had put some kiln dried birch on!

Best pizzas i have made to date, i have yet to get a pizza stone. i used a 16in 1/4in mild steel plate for the base of the oven then used the supplied pizza tray to cook it on, got some nice leaparding on the base to.

Phil, I'd eet that entire pie in 1 minute 47 seconds, then politely ask for more!

Damm dude...its on my wish list. did it cook in about 2-3 min? That temp range is ideal!!

Cheers Chris, with the filled charcoal baskets, the temp was about 550f, with the wood on it brought it up to 700f, yup about 4 mins a pizza with a few turns to get a nice crust. three pizzas were made in total.

Cheers Guys, it was a fun cook to do, summit different than low n slow! altho you dont get many beers downed when doin it.
