I have a chance to pick up a WSM 18.5 for about 265.00 out the door but its a 2013 model. I can pick up a 2014 for 299.00 plus tax so I was wondering if there are enough differences to pay the extra bucks for the 2014?
Donnie, the difference between 2013 and 2014 are the silicone grommet for passing thermometer probes into the cooker and handles on the lower cooking grate. If you don't care about these features, go for the 2013. If you do, it's probably easier to just go for the 2014 and get to smokin'!
But if you have the one with the grommet, then you have to have the $50 probe(s)
In all seriousness, it really is nice having the probe(s) I route mine through the top vent, and it's a PITA when checking for tenderness and snappin' photos

I've just never gotten around to putting a grommet in mine, so I go through the top. If your 732's probes can be in a pit environment for an extended period of time, I wouldn't know of any reason why it wouldn't work
I just googled the 732, and you should be just fine. It's made for BBQ/Smoking
may be too late but I'd grab the 2013 and just notch it. Most find trying to fish probes in and out of the grommet difficult and a hassle. You may end up notching a 2014 anyway
I ordered two Grommets from Weber (part # 85037) I ordered two, because they're only $4.70 each
Because Weber charges $7 S&H, it would cost $11.70 for the one, but by buying two it made them $8.20 each
I figure I'll put one on each side
