“How old is this grill” challenge.


 
Larry, I know the POL connectors were common on the early 1000 grills. IIRC, my 93 Genesis with wood slats was POL before I converted it to a regular QCC1.
 
Reviving this thread to share photos of the rather unique drip tray. I will venture to say that there are probably not many people who have ever seen one of this style with the catch pan brackets mounted to the bottom of the tray.

Those were used on the early years of the Genesis grills (Early Genesis 1-5). Probably changed to the new style sometime in the later 1980's
 
I have accumulated 3 or 4 of them. They were correctly identified as coming from the earliest Genesis 1-5 grills.
