    Thanks Bruce. Yes I will remove the end caps starting with the Genesis 3000 I am working on. I never thought of touching those boots unless the end caps were coming off and in need of replacement. Iíll let you know how it goes!

    Thanks Jon! Have you found an easy way to tighten down the lid handle? Mine still moves even after itís tight.

    I would just insert a SS washer on each end.

    I would try Bruce's suggestion. Mine doesn't seem to have that problem.
