Thought Roadside Chicken would be a fun cook with my new toy.

Built a fire of lump and lots of apple mini splits.

Put a couple of reds on while the fire was going to coals.

Looks good to go.

First flip and baste.

Raised the coal grate as the fire died down.

Thighs pulled at 194* internal temp.

Time to eat!

The chicken was real good - tender and juicy.

fwiw - this was a no lid cook.

I just read Roberts review, his points are enough to slow my purchase down until some of their QC issues are addressed but, the review is clear and very fair, it should be read by anyone considering one of these additions to the arsenal.
