4 bone in pork buts on the smaller Weber smokey

Hi y'all, I´m preparing my 40th birthday party two weeks from now. I´m gonna smoke a bunch of pork buts. So my question is, I have 4, 4kg pork buts and is it recommended to smoke them all at once or should I do it in two turns. If i do them all at once will it take longer than doing just two...

    Beef tenderloin

Thanks for the advice, I was wondering after watching BBQ pitmasters. I noticed that they usually wrap the spare ribs, (pork) in aluminum foil and also adding like brownsugar, honey and dry rubs. My question is, how long do they keep them wrapped at the end of cooking.

    Beef tenderloin

So last weekend I got myself a good beef tenderloin and followed the directions on the VirtualWeber site. It turned out perfect, it was so jucy and tender. I used cherry and apple wood, cooked for 1 1/2 hour or so, finished on the WeberQ brushed with whisky glaze. Also I need some minor...

    First cook on the WSM

Thanks for the chart, I new I saw it here on the bulletin. I was gonna use apple but they were out of applewood at Bauhaus. Dwain you would be suprised at how little snow we get here in Iceland, it varies from season to season. Last year it snowed from the begining of November until end of...

    First cook on the WSM

Well I had the first cookout on my weber, cooked 3lb chicken and some legs. 3 1/2 hour cook. It turned out prettywell for the first time. I used my V-burner wich was great, I had some hickory in a can on the burner that provided smoke. Would have wanted to try applewood. Does anyone know...

    V-burner

http://www.gassmoker.com/mini-v.htm Here you can get a burner for WSM, works wonders. I lilke to use charcoal but at this time of year all you can get are cheap noname brands. For i.e I could not find Kingsford anywhere but they are readily available over the summer.

    V-burner

I hooked up the V-burner to the WSM, took me about 3 minutes really easy. I´ve been playing around the valve seeing at what position it holds the temp. I also put a can with hickory on the burner and got this really beautiful smoke coming out. Can´t wait to get some poultry or other meat to try...

    V-burner

I just got the circular V-burner for my WSM. I was wondering do I use water in the pan or skip that part. I decied to try out the Burner since I live in Iceland and the weather can be pretty tricky. But I love using coals so I guess I will use that over the summer time.

    Greetings from Iceland.

Thanks for the warm welcome to the forum. I´m heading out to a cabin near Geysir here in Iceland. The word geyser is actually from Icelandic, Geysir is similar to Old Faithfull in Yellowstone but unfortunately Geysir does not erupt anymore but I´ve seen it and it is a huge eruption. Last time it...

    Greetings from Iceland.

Thanks for the warm welcome, and thanks for the danish link. I´m convinced that the coals from Weber are no good. I´m gonna try to find Kingsford, it´s gonna be hard since the seasonal items are not up yet. I have like 4 bags of them in my pop up camper but it´s in storage 2 hours drive away :(

    Greetings from Iceland.

I suspected the coals were not good enough, and after reading the Danish forum I seem to be right. I can read danish, we have to learn danish in school here in Iceland as well as English. I followed everything to the letter, all vents open, no aluminum anywhere. They just died out. I managed to...

    Greetings from Iceland.

Well, it´s the same, the temp went up to 200° after I put the wsm together. After 30 min it started to go down again. I´m thinking it could be the coals I´m using. I´m using Weber long lasting coals. I looked into the WSM and the coals that were in the pan are not turning gray. It´s like the...

    Greetings from Iceland.

Thank you, the coals were dry when I did this. However it´s my day off, and it´s about 41°, calm weather and the chimney is smoking. I put some coals in the pan and waiting for the coals to get ready. I´m making a small video of it as I go.

    Greetings from Iceland.

Hi, I´m a total new guy in this smoking arena. I just bought a Weber Smokey Mountain few days ago. I´ve been watching pitmasters and got blown away, I wanted to make BBQ. I´ve been cooking for many years and now my way around meat and other stuff needed to make great food. But I must say my...
