Jumbo Joe Clearance Priced at Target

Picked up a Jumbo out in West Texas yesterday for $29 as well. You can't say no when it's 1/2 off. I'm just a little concerned that it won't get a whole of use out in the parking lots of the Ballpark In Arlington come postseason time....

    DigiQ / ET732 readings

It turned out great... I would post pics but haven't mastered that yet and I don't want to clog up the forums with my screw ups.

    DigiQ / ET732 readings

I am currently having the same issue with my Party Q and iGrill. I've corrected the temperature spike by shutting down the top damper a little (this is the first time I've done that...took a big gulp and did it though). Everything seems to be running without issue now. Put on a peach injected...

WSM 22.5 IQue vs BBQ Guru

I used my new Party Q for the first time yesterday. It was awesome. Works as advertised. I cooked a brisket and the temps stayed steady the entire cook. Instead of using the high heat tape that came with the Q, I bought three hole plugs from Home Depot to plug up with damper that I installed the...

    Beginning the research.

Went ahead and purchased the Party Q and the eyelets for the probes. We'll see how it works.

    Beginning the research.

I am thinking about making the jump into the ATC world. I have been reading up on the Digi Q and the Party Q. I can't seem to find anything that will justify me spending the extra for the Digi Q DX2. The thing that I like about the Party Q is that it is battery operated and I do not have an...

    New Colors?

Does anyone know if there are going to be any special colors this year? I know a few years ago Target sold the copper OT and Crate and Barrel sold a lime green performer. I want to get a performer but can't decide if I want one of the three standard colors or should I hold out for a "special"...

    Queso

Santa dropped off some new cast iron cookware this morning. I'm thinking about doing some smoked queso in the skillet for a first run. Any ideas? Thinking about doing it like in the croc pot but on the WSM. Wood suggestions? Merry Christmas

    Substitute for maple wood chunks?

The family is still raving about the turkey breasts. Thanks for the help along the way. I've decided I am going to purchase a meat slicer and just cook my own lunch meat. That beats paying deli prices and I can make it the way I like.

    Substitute for maple wood chunks?

Went ahead and used oak, cherry, and apple. Think ill be alright to pull em at 160 and wrap em tight in foil. The company won't be here for a while so I'm thinking about glazing them closer to when they get here.

    Substitute for maple wood chunks?

Planning on doing the maple glazed turkey from The Big Bob Gibson book. The recipe calls for hickory, oak, and maple. Problem is I cannot find maple chunks anywhere. Thoughts on substituting apple or cherry chunks for the maple chunks??? How many chunks of each do y'all suggest? I have a 22 WSM.

    HI

Just want to take a second to introduce myself and say hello. I bought WSM a couple months ago after owing a OT for several years. It was the best $$ I've spent in a long while. Looking forward to getting ideas and sharing ideas.

    Brine/No Brine

Thinking of doing a couple skinless boneless breasts for Thankagiving instead of the whole bird. I have two different questions. 1. Should I follow the apple brine recipe for a boneless skinless like I do for a full bird in terms of time, air dry... I know I need to smoke around 225-250. 2...
