    I third the Jumbo.

    Good Bye 320

I too owned a Q320 and also got rid of it. For years we camped and used a Q120 with great results. I thought the Q320 would be just as good only bigger. I guess it was but my cooking needs at home outgrew the Q320 real fast not enough room in any dimension, especially under the lid. I picked up...

Grilling some steaks on my first rehab

A few weeks ago I picked up a 1200 natural gas off of a local classified for $40.00.........I can't seem to find the "before" pic I had but it was in similar shape to the OPs. Plus the flavour bars and cross-fire tube were in rough shape. Well tore it down and did a full restore and refinish...

Hey All of You 26.75" Kettle Owners

Darrel - aside from suggesting R2D2 falls over like a drunken sailor, thanks for the tips. Thanks to all in fact you've made me less concerned with the "wobbly leg" issue which means I'm nearly out of excuses why NOT to buy a 26er :roll eyes:

Hey All of You 26.75" Kettle Owners

So I love my Performer - goes without saying. I do lots of indirect cooks, some direct grilling from time to time and some smoking (indirect). For our family of 4 I have found by the time I have our main items on the grill e.g. chicken breasts etc.... and a side or 2 e.g. foil pack of potatoes...

Why did Weber discontinue the 18.5 OTG?

My vote would be poor sales. This time of year I scour the local want ads, garage sales CL, etc... for good deals on old kettles. RARELY if ever do I see an 18.5.......I'd estimate 1 in every 20 is an 18.5 in these parts. If the resales are any indication of new sales I can see why they dropped...

Cleaning the 22.5" Grates!? Any Tips?

You're supposed to wash your grates??? I must have missed that memo . I'm with S.Six. I just get the Performer smoking hot and burn the heck out of them, a little wire brush and back in business.

    Q2000 on older style cart

If you look at the feet on the newer Qs vs. the older you'll see the difference and I'm quite certain - without mods, it won't work.

    My search has ended

$200 with a CI grate (looks Craycort)? I think I hear police sirens.

    &@?!%#*+!!!!😡

My take away from this is don't wash my Performer ;) Sorry to hear though OP.

    Replace hose on q100

Just unscrew the old hose and buy a replacement for $29.00. Using hose clamps is not a smart idea on a high pressure propane feed. For $29.00, buy a new hose.

    Seriously Thinking About a Q3200

Very happy with my Q320. Like Tim, I've added the griddle to the right side and still find for average family cooks (fam. of 4) it's ample space.

    Performer on CL

Likely only a year or 2 old........Looks to be in good shape and includes a cover which is extra. Good luck.

Bail me out please. Burned on crap.

Scrape/brush as best as possible, oil the grill well, burn it hot for 1/2 hour or so, should re-season. And don't be too obsessed with an immaculate grate, it's a grate. Once it well seasoned, normal brushing and burn-offs and cooking should keep it seasoned well.

    Adding Smoke

Even better way, get a Smokey Joe and put some real smoke to it ;). Foil packs, tubes, boxes etc.... can make some smoke, but if you're hoping for some good smokey BBQ, its not coming from a gasser. And for the record, I'm a big Q fan as you can see by my sig - but I know their limitations -...

    Boston butt

Congrats on a great first cook of a butt. 1.5 hours per pound is a good estimate tool but don't count on it. Without knowing more details of your smoke it's hard to guess why it took a little longer - but het, it came out good regardless.

    Using Q240 Inside?

I'd be more concerned with the condo rules and regs in your case and if the smoke will be a nuisance to others. Most times rules and regs contain language regarding activities that are fire hazards and/or doing anything that effects other owners' enjoyment of their property e.g. BBQ smoke...

    Thoughts/questions on my new Smokey

New WSMs run hot for the first several cooks. It needs some seasoning which will come over time. Check and see if your door is getting a good seal. A lot of guys upgrade to the Cajun Bandit door for better performance than the OEM Weber. Having come from a Kamado myself - do NOT expect the same...

Help First Cook this Saturday on my new WSM 18.5

I should have specified - St. Louis, BBs can't handle that much foil time.

    This is my WSM...

Great scene..........not going to lie, had to dig deep in the memory banks to remember it though. Oh and congrats to the OP on a fine smoker ;)
