    Grill Cover Recommendations

My cover on my Genesis needs to be replaced. Looking for recommendations for a quality cover that will last. This one has lasted over 8 years which is great, just wish I could remember what brand it is and the tag is to faded to read. Thanks in advance.

    iQ 110/120/130 Replacement Probes

I have the first generation 110 and when it was purchased years ago shipping was free on temp probes but that didn't last very long. I needed a replacement a couple 3 years ago and was not happy about the added shipping charge. I think I ordered 3 replacement's for the same shipping charge as 1...

WSM 18" with bbq IQ 110

That a good deal. I have had the IQ110 1st generation for 5+ years and it has always worked flawlessly on my 18" and 22".

Holding a pork butt: to shred or not to shred

I think a hot or warm butt pulls much easier. Have never had a problem with one drying out if sealed properly, I think it even tastes better after it sits a few days

iGrill 2 on sale at Sam's Cub

    Pitmaster iQ110

Eugene, I have had my IQ now for 2 1/2 years with no regrets it has never let me down. I highly recommend it. I use it on my 18"and 22" WSM and air leaks have never been an issue, but they were well seasoned before I got the IQ. As for the vents it did take a little trial and error at first to...

Partially closed vent while using a atc!? Who knew it would work so well...

Have had my IQ for a few years now and have learned that keeping the vent closed as much as the bolt passing through will allow will give great results every time on both the 18 and 22.

The Great Debate: 18 or 22?

I have the 18 and 22 and use them both. If I could only have one it would be the 22, probably use it 3 to 1 over the 18.

Analysis paralysis - iQue 110 vs. Party Q vs. Auber

Travis, I think you will be happy with what ever you choose. I have had the IQue for several years now and have been completely satisfied. Not having the digital read out is no big deal because like most on here I monitor grate temps. with the maverick ET732 from inside the house anyway. The...

WSM 22.5 Hasn't Even Arrived and I'm Already Overwhelmed.

Congrats Ben, you will love your new toy. I personally think the best mod is adding handles to the center section. You can take the section off the smoking hot coals at any time to do what needs to be done with out getting a face full of continuous smoke. This does require a little muscle...

    1Q110 - Amount of Charcoal

Using the IQ with my 22 I start with 18 lit coals and empty water pan with no heat sink. I close the vent that holds the dog bowl as much as the toggle bolt will allow. I set the IQ about 25 degrees under my target to allow for over shoot of temp, usually takes about an half hour or so to get...

    BBQ Book question

David, sounds like the book that is closest to what you are looking for are the grilling books by Cook's Country. They are great at explaining cuts of meat and the different ways of cooking each through trial and error and what methods seem to work best. I have their Best Grilling Recipes book...

Trouble getting stuff off bottom rack to foil with temp probe installed on top grate

OK, maybe a lot of muscle at times. I guess this depends on the individual. I have had 50lbs+ on my 22" many times and was glad that I didn't have to carry it very far, just step back and sit it down is not bad though. I guess I started this years ago with my first smoker , a Brinkmann gourmet...

Trouble getting stuff off bottom rack to foil with temp probe installed on top grate

The way I deal with this problem is probably not the safest and does require a little muscle but for me it works great. I installed handles (horizontal not vertical) on my 18" and 22" WSM , when its time to foil or what ever I lift the center section off of the coals and set to the side then...

    Charcoal Usage

You should get way more burn time, especially with ATC. On my 22 I can get 18+ hours easy at 225 this time of year with a full ring of Stubbs, empty water pan, using minion method (starting with 18 lit coals), bottom vents closed 100% using ATC, top vent half open. Example: This past weekend...

My First Cook -- 10 Things I Learned

    8. Wiviott says to use newspaper to start the Weber chimney. What do people who don't subscribe to the paper use? (I used paper supermarket bags.) Weber lighter cubes work great and best of all leave no ashy mess.

    Cheesy Western

Mike G, the T-room in Lynchburg make their own relish. Pride of Virginia is similar but not quite the same. I have eaten many of westerns over the years, they are awesome.
