    Drippings Question

Thanks. That is what I thought. I just found out that my wife is pregnant with our first and oddly enough she is craving BBQ (which is rare). Just wanted to make sure I wasn't trying to poison her with some form of cross contamination. So I get to be a dad and get more BBQ the next few months...

    Drippings Question

Howdy all, First I just want to thank everyone associated with this site and the forum. You've all made my first year with my WSM much easier. My question is do any of you see any problem with putting a tray full of baked beans below meat that is cooking? I've tried it when I was cooked beef...

    Ground Chiles

I'd also let it settle in the grinder once you get it to the consistency that you want. If you open the blender/coffee grinder right after you finish you might get some of the powder in your face and that ain't a good thing.

    Brisket Question

I'm lucky enough to have a butcher nearby that sells brisket but unfortunately the staff there isn't the brightest when it comes to the meat they are selling. Every time I take one of thier brisket up to buy it they look at me like I'm crazy and ask what I'm going to do with so much meat. I just...

The reason I ask is because I cooked a brisket this weekend and wasn't impressed with the rub. I thought that if I did a test grill to see how the rub worked with...

    First Brisket Results

Mine wasn't perfect but it was good. I left a little to much fat on the top side and the smoke didn't penetrate that side very well but I did enjoy it.

    Crater in my patio

I put mine on the grate of another grill that I have. This way I can set up the WSM and light the coals without putting the starter on the ground. Also you can put the starter on the charcoal grate of your WSM to keep it off of the concrete.

    Thermometer Question

Perfect, I think I'll wait until I use it to see if I still want the eyelets. The wife won't be as mad if I slow down on my toy purchases anyways.

    Thermometer Question

I just got a Maverick ET-73 and wanted to know if anybody had a problem with putting the lid on the lead wires. It says in the manual that comes with it that you shouldn't put the full weight of the lid on the wires because it will damage them. I am going to be ordering the eyelets from...
