    I smoked 3 racks of BabyBacks last weekend throughout the afternoon. Outside Temp in the 110's. Mesa, AZ. I smoke all Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall long.

    To Much Rub?

    For Butts...I like the rub thick and leave it on overnight. I have found that only a dusting is necessary for baby backs. I have done too many baby backs that didn't taste good enough. I apply just before they go into the smoker.

    12 pounder, mmm pork.

    I love the Mr Brown rub with some Western NC BBQ sauce. The sauce must be close to liquid consistency and vinegary. I usually try a new sauce each time.

    Texas BBQ Rub #1 & #2

    Based on the reviews of the Texas BBQ Rub, I too purchased 2lbs of #1 and a sample of #2. Upon tasting the rub out of the bag, I didn't really like it. I put it on a pork loin and grilled it indirect on my gasser. Damn good. It finishes great. I can't wait to use the #1 on a pork butt...

    First timer with minion method and mr. brown

    You are in for a treat. I did my first Mr Brown (on a Kettle) last weekend and I've been enjoying the butt for lunch all week. It turned out fantastic.
