    Genesis X-320 Natural Gas

The stainless hood and doors give you a look. Unless you lived at the beach it wouldn't matter. The porcelain cleans up easier. Find a Weber Alliance Dealer. We sell a model that is called EP320. It's a regular Genesis with stainless grills and flavor bars. I'm not sure if Weber could tell...

Brush recommendation for porcelain cast iron?

Brass bristled brush is the best for porcelain as it doesn't scratch. However... In California brass bristled brushes are illegal. We could be fined $1500 if we sell a brass bristled brush. You can still find them in stores in California because stores not specfically selling BBQs probably...

    renovatin gan old Genesis

Here is a simple warning about the gas connections. On straight pipe you use pipe dope or tape. If the male end of the pipe is flared, you never use any kind of sealant. The flaring or the pipe and receptor is designed so that nothing is needed. This picture is a perfect example of the two...

    Black soot on food?

Clean the inside of your hood. It may be falling from there. It builds up and eventually starts flaking off like paint.

    My *NEW* find!

I wish I still had it, but I found a genuine Weber mailbox. It was avocado green, harvest gold and orange. I showed it to my Weber rep and he'd never seen one. What was I thinking when I sold it? $$$$$$

    Handles for 22"

I put my 18 1/2 together this morning and this is my handle mod: I used 4 hood handles from the old style Ducane gassers. Now the cover won't fit.

Added Casters to My 2009 18inch

Nice! Hoping that the holes are already there. Did you get brakes for all four?

    Handles for 22"

Singing? So how do I spell the word I wanted to use? My hands don't sing. It's off to Home Depot today on my lunch break. Why didn't I think of gloves? I use them all the time with my OTG. DUH.

    Handles for 22"

Looks great. Is it easy lifting the center with those handles? Is there enough clearance for your hands? I worry about singing the backs of my fingers. My new 18" is in the box in my garage. It will probably remain there for awhile. The holes on the 18" are 6" center to center. Are they...

    PRIMO v. Big Green Egg

If anyone is seriously interested in a Komodo Kamado I have a friend who wants to sell his. It's BRAND NEW. Well he did cook one pizza on a stone in it. He decided that between his Cookshack and Solaire he didn't really need it after spending $3600 on it! It's all black and stainless steel...

    Ducane refurbishing question

Another hint: If you don't feel like paying the price for the briquette grate and the frame of yours is still intact... Just buy a wire briquette grate, a little smaller than yours and lay it on top of the old one. It will hold the briquettes with no problem and you'll save close to $80.

    flat side up or down?

There isn't a right or wrong. I like the wider side up for grill marks. The food also sears a little faster due to transfer of heat. If I'm doing shrimp, I put pointy side up.

    Ducane refurbishing question

I'm not sure that Weber is stocking any parts from the old Ducane grills. If not, they can be had from bbq specialty shops. The parts are fairly expensive. The bottom briquette grate runs close to $100. The burners without the collector boxes could be $40 a piece. If your ignitor isn't...

Warming drawer - Pros & Cons?

Indoors or outdoors, they are all electric. You put a tiny cup of water in them to keep things moist. Great outdoors for heating up towels for when you get out of your pool! Indoors I'd prefer to have cupboard space. Outdoors? A foil lined cooler works fine. Some people put food on plates...
