Hello to my new addition to my Weber family!

yeah I see them pop up every so often but rarely in this shape. Its practically new for basically 50% of new and after today's Weber WSM price increase then its an even better deal!

Hello to my new addition to my Weber family!

So as some of you might recall, I JUST recently picked up a Weber 22" WSM and while I have only used it once that I love this thing. Only gripe is that she's a bit hard on fuel to heat such a massive space. I was perusing my local classified and found a person selling this smoker for $150 but...

Did Weber Canada JUST increase the prices of the WSM on Nov 2, 2021?

I just took notice that as of today all resellers of Weber smokers just jacked up the prices of their smokers. 22" was $549 -> $599 18" was $439 ->$489 14" was $299 -> $329 That's crazy how prices keep rising.

    WSM dome thermometer accuracy

interesting responses. While it isn't overly critical for me to have accurate temps using the stock dome thermometer that it would be nice to know how its accuracy tracks over time. I may just embark on an experiment to see just how "true" it stays to the actual temperatures and see at what...

    WSM dome thermometer accuracy

So I've read a number of threads indicating the WSM's thermometer is nothing more than a hood ornament. I just received my replacement thermometer from weber and did the boiling water test against a known accurate thermometer and found that the replacement gauge from weber is actually spot on...

First smoke preparations for 2 racks of beef back ribs

Costco Canada sells each rack of beef back ribs for about $30CAD each.

First smoke preparations for 2 racks of beef back ribs

Well here is how my first kick at the smoking with my new WSM 22 turned out. The WSM held temps decently throughout the cook and it was a fairly cold windy day. I smoked the beef back ribs for 7.5 hours at a steady 230F. The pork belly that I threw into the grill finished quite a bit sooner at...

First smoke preparations for 2 racks of beef back ribs

Hello fellow TVWB members! I am in the midst of prepping 2 racks of beef back ribs (2KG per back rib) and the ribs are washed and rubbed down with a light coating of mesquite rub and placed back into the fridge ready to be smoked tomorrow morning :) I believe I have most of my ducks in a row...

Good temperature monitoring thermometer for WSM/Kettle/Genesis S330 Grill?

Me thinks that it isn’t available in Canada. Looking at Amazon it doesn’t seem to come up. Lots of thermopro stuff but no thermoworks.

Good temperature monitoring thermometer for WSM/Kettle/Genesis S330 Grill?

So about a year ago I snagged myself a Weber Mini grill temperature monitor for $50 CAD. At the time it was a pricing error in the store and so I jumped on it right away. FFWD to today and a proud owner of a lightly used WSM 22.5" smoker that I am in the market for an upgrade for my...

FINALLY after years of looking I picked up a modestly used 22.5" WSM

yes I saw those tricks and wonder if I can pull something like that off. I was thinking maybe I run the smoker in my shed. The thing that scares the crap outta me is the fact that you have hot burning coals inside the cooker that could potentially burn down my shed or deck. I even considered...

The forgotten Weber Flame 27000 Fireplace/Fire Pit

Ah yes the elusive firepit that nobody seems to know too much about. I own two of these and have both the natural gas and the propane version. We love it so much that I don't have the heart to sell the LP version since my lower yard doesn't have a NG line to it. I'm in the midst of restoring...

    Weber Charcoal Baskets

Leave them be, it will in fact last longer if you don't mess with them. I'm still sporting my original charcoal baskets from when I finished high school and got my first kettle grill... still using them today and its been 20+ years.

FINALLY after years of looking I picked up a modestly used 22.5" WSM

Thanks! Yes I'm super stoked to try it out but the winter is approaching so smoking may be a challenge unless I want to blow through a ton more charcoal to counteract the chill. I'm so impressed with my smoker's condition given that it was from 2013 and was stored outside.

Considering a 2nd WSM even though I JUST picked up a used 22.5" model yesterday.

That's so tasty looking! What size is your grill?

Considering a 2nd WSM even though I JUST picked up a used 22.5" model yesterday.

I think what attracts me about the 18.5 is the fact it is pretty much a brand new unit that was purchased in 2021 and comes with some handy extras. I can find a wsm 18.5” throughout the year for around $250-300 used but rarely are they brand new. I guess the savings are just “ok” with the 18”...

Considering a 2nd WSM even though I JUST picked up a used 22.5" model yesterday.

OMG YES if I had the finances and more importantly the space I would. I've read that if you're going the 14.5" route that you're probably better off using a weber kettle grill (which I also own) to achieve similar results.

Considering a 2nd WSM even though I JUST picked up a used 22.5" model yesterday.

well I came back from the place where this 18.5 was for sale.... turns out it is a 2021 model and it is in like-new condition. Owner wasn't kidding when he said he's only used it 3 times...He is dead set on $325. The summarize: 1. Its a 2021 WSM 18.5" 2. It has the FULL gasket kit from...

Considering a 2nd WSM even though I JUST picked up a used 22.5" model yesterday.

I suspected that I’d get the responses posted here. I have to admit we’re not huge meat eaters and in fact are paring back on how much meat we’re eating. That isn’t to say I wouldn’t smoke a bunch of it to freeze and eat later. I am going to look at the 18.5 model soon and may end up bringing...

Considering a 2nd WSM even though I JUST picked up a used 22.5" model yesterday.

So here is the scenario: I've been lurking for years and contemplating buying a WSM. Locally there were two listings, a 22" and an 18" model for $330 and $325 CAD respectively. I bought the 22.5" model (built-in 2013) and discovered afterward that the cooker is in 8.5/10 condition. It had...
