    Weber kettle with table

I had actually been thinking of just using the handles and maybe using a dremel to make a slot for them to sit in so the whole thing is secure. Anyone know what the best stain option is for this type of application?

    Fish on the smoker

I've read it can leave an odor behind in the smoker. I was thinking of smoking a nice piece of salmon this weekend, but I figured I would check in here first.

    Spatchcock or whole?

With my acquisition of a WSM this year, I'm going to be smoking a bird for Thanksgiving. I'm leaning the spatchcock route, but I would love to hear what you guys/gals think.

    Finally!

So after months of trolling CL and almost finding the WSM I've been looking for, I picked up an almost pristine 18.5 for $125 this weekend. Did a nice safe cook for my first run. Halved a couple of chickens and used the both the basic BBQ chicken and marinated chicken recipes from here. Both...

Weber Grills: Why Do You Have What You Have?

Similar to Pat, I had done the cheap grill route for a bunch of years when my parents decided to upgrade to a new Weber and asked me to help them throw out their 2005 or so Genesis Silver. I promptly threw it in the back of my truck, replaced the grates, bars and burners and it did me well for...

Moinks, Wings and a brand new Vortex

So my vortex got delivered last night and I have been planning to do a nice batch of wings to break it in. I'm also doing a batch of moink balls and was wondering if there was any reason I can't just cook them the same way I'm cooking the wings on the vortex.

Anyone else find that Whole Foods has the best meat?

I don't get to the one by me nearly enough, but between their meat and the craft beer selection I could live there.
