Was dropping off an donation at the Restore in Chantilly VA. They have a nice Green SS performer for $35, missing the 5lb tank but everything else looks good. Appears to have lived a nice life on a covered porch or stored inside.

That grill is basically new and they cannot make that red anymore. If I was in the market for a new grill, that would be a great find. Some of the vintage grills on ebay have gone for crazier numbers.

You should find a used Performer, less time and work than trying to build something better. Bet you can find a performer for less than the materials to build a side table.
