That’s a steal! If my wife could tolerate charcoal and that was near me…

    My Genesis 1000 project

The sad thing is that people say they want the old-fashioned hardware store, but they vote with their feet (and wallet) and go to Home Depot, Lowes and Menards. I still have memories of that hardware store smell from when I was a very little kid in the 1960s! A place like Ace tries to straddle...

    Two nice brunettes, though!

    My Genesis 1000 project

Good tip, Jay! That is certainly the first place to look. It does depend on the size of your Ace location how much you will be able to find.

WSCG - $1050 OBO Modesto, CA

I wonder if there is a pool just out of the picture? Chlorine can exacerbate rusting.

    1976 Weber Dealer Product Catalog

It is nice to see some new additions and for the Weber Kettle Grill Giants to share with us. The “unicorn” brochure to me is a 1987 one. It would answer some mysteries of the very early Genesis and “XX” (Jr.) grills.

    1976 Weber Dealer Product Catalog

Love those 70s colors! A yellow electric kettle would be a very cool find!

    1967 Weber Product Catalog

Nice catalog from a way simpler day when George :george: was firmly at the helm! Renews my desire to restore a ragtag Sequoia I have. I found matching black hardware, but sourcing redwood is a bit of a challenge.

    Curb Alert !!!

You know I didn't even notice that as I was impressed with the overall nice look! It wouldn't have stopped me from wanting it had it been nearby.

    Curb Alert !!!

I definitely like that one, except for the handle. A black dyed plastic one with the slots or even an ebony stained wood one. I myself think one of those black plastic handle lights would work well on this particular grill.

    Reputable websites to buy parts???

There are so many with similar names... I have used bbqparts.com and have huge respect for them. I have also purchased from thebbqdepot.com and been happy. And, also as I mentioned grillparts.com has been excellent and where I bought burners for my 1st generation Summit and for use in my...

I will just leave this here

I was not at all agreeing with his presentation, and I do admit it wouldn't take a whole lot to clean it up more. But, like Bruce says, if someone chooses to do just the bare minimum and has happy paying customers, what can you say? And, sadly, I do think that the return on every additional hour...

    Reputable websites to buy parts???

I bought one 26" and two 22" gorgeous thick stainless grates Weber kettles from Killa Grilla. The owner, Mark Baron, also worked personally with me to make a perfect replacement for my PK "one vent" grill. Mark has since retired, and how I wish I had been able to purchase some more from him...

I will just leave this here

I think he could certainly do better, but it is also true that there are many buyers who don't see older Weber grills as the "classics" we do. They just want to save money buying something solid and relatively clean. At that guy's asking price, I think they could expect more, but if you are...

    Reputable websites to buy parts???

I recently purchased those same Summit burners and crossovers. They look great and arrived promptly. I believe their stock is running low of these. They are going to get harder and harder to find as time goes by.

That's crazy! I would go all out to get that if it were near me.

    Rescued Weber Skyline

Love those Skylines! The 2-burners aren't as common and don't get the attention they deserve. That looks great!

That probably was a crimson. The few I have seen always sell fast. This is the one I would love to have as a keeper: Open cart, large wheels…If it was mine, I would call it “The Last Redhead.”

I think the photo is very dark. I had a brick red once and it was much lighter, but still darker/blacker than crimson.
