My Genesis 1000 project

I wish I had an extra one to send you, but half the grills I pick up are missing one as well. I think I'm going to try and 3D print some new ones. They shouldn't be as complicated as a wheel insert.
What a nice gesture!
You’ve really been incredibly kind with helping me.
Please don’t worry about my little stuff

I get all those plastic trim pieces from my local ACE Hardware store. They have the plastic push pins in many varieties and sizes. They also have a variety of control panel plugs disguised as license plate plugs. They have the square tube end plugs (in different sizes) including the 1”. I can get the tank scale plastic tips in a variety of colors. Same goes for the wheel/axle end caps. Although I’ve only found red caps in 3/8”. But you could just get the push clips and reuse the white covers. The hardware store is MUCH cheaper than ordering online, you can get the quantity you need (Not 50 at a time) and there’s No shipping. I think I spent $9 on ALL the plastic pieces I needed

Good tip, Jay! That is certainly the first place to look. It does depend on the size of your Ace location how much you will be able to find.

I grew up in a small Dutch farm town Lynden Washington up against the Canadian border. We actually had a decent amount of options in our small community for stuff like this. Ace hardware, True Value and my first choice Coast To Coast Total Hardware. That store had everything. I just looked it up and there are no more Coast to Coast total hardware stores. They've been bought out and converted to True Value as of 1997.
