My Genesis 1000 project

While waiting on the manifold bracket, I’m going to knock out the manifold service tonight. Found a cover and the hanging warmer basket at good prices, but I’m holding off until
I’m closer to the end of this. Going to also get some help from my bride (she’s optimistic) to replicate the side serial number sticker. I found the threads on that, but was unable to download the templates. She has a new machine she bought for crafts and printing t/shirts and such.🤷‍♂️

Using my Chapman Manufacturing little gunsmithing screwdriver set. The screwdriver blades will fail before stripping out the screw head. Don’t want to mess this up!
Best-
A friend of mine made up those serial numbers stickers and they turned out really well. I haven't talked to him for a long time but I remember him saying that he would have them for me if I wanted them. I'll see if I can get a hold of him.

I can see doing one of those if you had all the original info to put back on the replica, and a pristine control panel to stick it to.
I do and I have both. I reaffixed the sticker to the underside of the control panel before it could become unreadable.

Any help or direction you could provide would be really appreciated. Thanks for all of your help during this process.

You can find them on eBay in good condition once in a while. I actually have a brand new one that I found that way.
I’d love a brand new one, but I was honestly surprised that there was this spot.
It’s just like a bug or snail or something found its way there to make its final capitulation to eternity,

And it went unnoticed until the following Spring. Lol. If you find a brand new one, please let me know. I don’t like little defects like that. Thanks again!

I'd like to find more new ones myself but the odds are pretty low at this point. I've always been lucky enough to come up with the next best thing to a new one on my restorations so far. I can't stand it when they are faded and chipped up either, same with lids.
