Nice work. Don't forget a new tip for the pointer and a new warning label from Jon Tofte. At least I got this back together today.
And new grates arrived…
All the ones I've ever done have been red. My Ace hardware sells them and the correct size just happens to be red. I've grown to like the red as opposed to the original white/gray. I didn't want to buy a bag of fifty on Amazon either.. I was obstinate that I didn’t want to buy 50 white ones on Amazon, so I wasted a bunch of gas going to 3 hardware stores and a train hobby store (they’re used on toggles). So it’s red for now. I did pick up 4

You can put the swinging basket wherever you want obviously, but it usually goes in the lower position along with a non raised warming rack for a Genesis 1000. I installed a raised warming rack on my Genesis Gold and you have to put the swinging basket in the upper position or it will hit anything you have on the warming rack when you close the lid.Does the hanging warming basket go either in the front of the lid, or in the back, depending on if you have the warming rack?
If it’s an either/ or, I kinda dig the warming rack idea.
And you just said you liked the red onesI have a 50 pack from Amazon showing up any minute lol.
I better like them lolAnd you just said you liked the red ones![]()
Oh, I thought you meant you ordered a bag of white ones.I better like them lol
Thanks, kinda what I figured, but I did not know there was a raised warming rack. I thought they were all flat for this model, and why I was curiousYou can put the swinging basket wherever you want obviously, but it usually goes in the lower position along with a non raised warming rack for a Genesis 1000. Thank you very much! Adam is pretty excited.I like the red more too!
The mock up is looking fantastic!!
The raised one is technically for a 300 series grill, but will also fit a Genesis 1000 or Silver B.Thanks, kinda what I figured, but I did not know there was a raised warming rack. I thought they were all flat for this model, and why I was curious
Thanks!
A discreet blemish concealer, tbh. There’s a quarter sized spot there that would not come off, is embedded in the finish, and drove me nuts to look at. It’s our neighborhood vinyl window decal which can be easily removed if needed.Looks great Steve! What's the sticker on the control panel?
I have them too, why I didn’t want to buy another 50…I better like them lol
I wonder if you could do them up nicely and sell them? I'd likely give up some $$ for a nicely remade sticker with serial number and other info.Going to also get some help from my bride (she’s optimistic) to replicate the side serial number sticker. I found the threads on that, but was unable to download the templates. She has a new machine she bought for crafts and printing t/shirts and such.![]()
