In 00 Weber replaced this front panel for the silver b and c with what they described as a three sided panel. It will bolt securely into place on a x000 and, in my opinion makes the end of the grill look better, and it doesn’t fall off.

Those are definitely an upgrade if you can find one.

That's it. It's no longer available and it was only used the first couple years of silver b/c production if memory serves.

If I find a good one I’d put it on my 1000lx, especially if I add a drop table and take off the end table

That one ( from 02+) could also be made to fit but it doesn’t have bolt holes, it just slips into slots in the legs

It’s what connects the front plate to the frame which I’m asking about. Sorry for the confusion.

I knew about the difference in the valence panels. I just wasn't sure of the years each was used. I am working on three Silver B's right now and they all have the same valence that Samuel posted above. I knew they were early Silver B's because they have the front and back cross members as well with the drop in bottom rack, rather the snap in heavier one.
