    Excalibur Dehydrator With Timer

Good deal on the Excalibur dehydrator with 9 trays and timer. Blemished and never used from the factory with 10 year warranty. Probably the best non-commercial dehydrator and made in the USA. I bought one today and look forward to receiving it and making some jerky...

    Liquid Smoke ?????????

I don't use it either. At work one day I walked behind a building and smelled liquid smoke. The smell was coming from several empty 55 gal. drums my employer had just received. It smelled great so much so that I frequently went by the empty drums just to smell them.

    Grease-eating dog food bowl

Looks like you could put charcoal briquettes in it and turn your smoker into a grill. What do you think?

    Who uses Blue Bag Kingsford??

In my little town all you can find is Kingsford. I always use the BBK in my WSM.

    should I get the wsm?

I have the 18" WSM and a couple of the Pro Q stackers. I haven't used the stackers yet but the quality of them is not the same as a WSM. I know the WSM is sprayed with porcelain enamel and is hard as nails. The stackers look to just be painted with black paint. Whatever it is I know it doesn't...

I love picking the pieces of pork butt stuck to the grate and eating them while I carry the grate into the house to be cleaned. Tastes great!

    WSM Stacker - bad fit?

I bought two of them off ebay and had the same problem. I took them to a local heating and air conditioner place and had them crimp the top ends in a crimp roller like they use to crimp round flue? pipe. Much better now and they look good but I have not tried them. Here is a link to that thread...

Two pork Butts & A Deer Hindquarter

It was a good weekend for smoking. Saturday I smoked two pork butts each weighing 9.5 pounds. Lid temp was 225-235F. I pulled the pork butts when the internal meat temperature reached 197F 11 hours and 15 minutes after starting the smoke. I thought it would take much longer than it did. Sunday...

Can a professional sharpening service shorten the life of knives?

Smith's Sharpener for less than $10 at Wal-Mart is what I use on old knives that are really dull and hard to sharpen. It does remove a bit of steel but it does a great job of sharpening and it is quick too. I use the steel that came with my kitchen knife set to keep them sharp.

    Chuck roast taco's

I've never used "taco seasoning" in any mexican food that I've ever made. If you are making tacos all you need for seasoning is to add lettuce, maybe some shredded cheese, chopped tomatoes, and some kind of salsa on top of the meat in the tortilla shell. Taco seasoniong?...we don't need no...
