Post a pic of your Pet (Dog) *****

That's awesome Phil, I think its a Rottie thing with the butt scratch, Both Axl & Slash would approach you and spin looking for it. Smart move with the treats, besides pleasing their Master food is their only pleasure, that's why I don't mind giving my guys scraps once in a while.

Well I was able to last exactly one month after Slash, meet the newest member of the family Junior, picked him up on Monday. He is just over 4 months old, a lot of work in the next few months but I love it.

Wow Morgan awesome job, looks like I am smoking sandwich meat this weekend, unless of course we get this crazy storm they are talking about. Great looking cook and the view in pretty good too.

    Looking for foiling tips

I use apple juice mixed with a TBS of rub, I guess it depends on what you are trying to achieve, I feel adding honey and brown sugar makes it too sweet but thats just me.

RC not sure when I will get another but it will be another Rottweiler, Slash was my second, I had Axl until 2007. Great breed that gets a bad rep, Poor breeding and bad Owners. Both of mine were big babies, great with other dogs and absolutely loved kids. Here is Axl when he was about 6. Dan...

Thanks RC, I hated making that call especially since he acted as if he was fine. Too many selfishly wait and drag it on and the dog suffers. No way I was going to do that. Coming home from work is rough, already miss him being at the door all fired up so excited to see me. I can at least take...

I am glad this thread is still going, a little therapy for me. I had to make the call this weekend all dog owners dread. Slash had kidney failure and a tumor on his spleen. He would have been 11 in November, a great run for a Rottie but still hurts to have to make that call. RIP to the best...

    Killer Chops, Grilled2Perfection

Spectacular Jim, that looks awesome. Did rib chops tonight as well, no pics, worked all day then grilled with a flashlight tucked between my shoulder and chin but if you can get your hands on wasabi terriyaki marinade, same company that makes " soy vay". Anyway marinated 2 rib chops in the...

    Traditional St Louis Pork Steaks

Now you've done it Bob, now that beef backs are crossed of my bucket list, pork steaks are up next (maybe pepper stout beef). Going to do my usual scouring of the board but I guess I need only to scour you profile, great looking meal.

First try at beef back ribs

Thanks Guys, Still blows me away the knowledge I have picked up here, I have come along way since I made my first beer can chicken. So many helpful folks sharing insight and ideas. My name is Eric and I am addicted to TVWBB.com (and my smoker).

    Caribbean Spares

Nice job Jim, those ribs look awesome, never tried any Dizzy pig rubs, usually make my own but I am going to order a few of their rubs and give em a try. BTW going to see Slash in concert in September, flashback to my metal days, should be a great show.

First try at beef back ribs

So I finally got around to trying beef back ribs. Had a hard time finding them, finally found them at Restaurant Depot. Next time I am going to order some from a local butcher, they were on the wimpy size, all that work and not enough meat. I was happy with the end result just the cut I got was...

    Pulled Pork Temp question

You could always check it in boiling water but if it was falling apart at 170 then its not accurate. I normally start checking for tender at around 195 and go from there. Glad you caught it before it was too late.

    Beef ribs

Awesome Jim thanks. Its amazing how many don't know what they are, I asked around at a few places and they all kept trying to sell me short ribs. Thanks again, this is very helpful. Eric

    best lump charcoal

I would rather have that than little tiny pieces. Maple Leaf and Basques were my favorites. I get Maple leaf when I am in Montreal and have friends bring some down, when I run out Basques was what I used because I can get it locally. But lately both of them have chinced out and the bags are...
