New 14.4 WSM for the collectors

The 14.5s have only just become available here @ $399 AUD, so about $276 USD. Standard US price seems to be $199USD, so thats nearly a 40% markup from Weber Australia. As Weber Australia goes, that's not too bad...........

    Traditional New Year's meal

New Years Day is actually my birthday, so my wife, even before we were married, (some 35 years ago, how time flies) organized a 'birthday' party in my honour at her parents place, which is in a superb location where their front yard is located on a Sydney waterway. So, for 35 years + unless we...

    Smoked Silverside.

Hi Len & TonyUK, Silverside is absolutely what we use here for Corned Beef, Growing up, our Mum would do a special order for a piece of 'fresh' Silverside from the butcher. It was our families 'go-to' for Roast Beef. Mum would insert garlic slivers into the meat. That was fairly exotic for...

Cooking the ribs from prime rib separate - Finish temp?

I too found the ribs too rich/fatty to eat on their own- they looked and smelt fantastic. (Cooked low and slow/smoked in the Mini WSM) To save the situation I took the meat off the bone, removed the fat, and made a ragu -absolutly superb.

    I Love Lamb

Rich & Barb, lamb is a staple here- rack of lamb is a great easy cook- and just made for a good red wine- and cooked on a Weber- it's the way to go! Bill you have done our product proud, Bravo.

    Newly Restored Weber Genesis 3000

The jets are different between the Summit side burners NG (larger), LP (smaller), that I have. Our two Genesis 5000s are both NGs so I cannot compare. THe NG Summit side burner will burn on a LP feed, and vice-versa but you get a much better flame, and level of flame control with the correct...

(PICS) My "New" Old Weber Genesis Silver B

To clean the grates, try a long, flat out, high heat burn. Cook pizzas if you wish. Most of the crud will burn to powder if it gets enough heat.

A never-before-seen grill! FS in Toronto

Great find! We had to do a complete restore on our green 5000. Plenty of work, but I learnt a lot, and it was a lot of fun. The Flame check valves eventually seem to 'fail' themselves, and Weber do not seem to carry them, however you can bypass them fairly easily, and this actually makes them...

    Australian Smokey Joe Mini

Hi Michael, as there is not too much call in OZ for tamale pots, and even in the USA their pots are not fitting, what you are asking for is not easy. I did import two pots from the USA, which was still much more cost effective than buying a WSM from Weber Australia. The minis are brilliant, we...

Confusion over the name of my grill.

Hi Rich, I agree with DMack, those thermoset plastic tops on the performers and side tables on the gassers are a pain. Particularly when they get a little older, you have to be so 'precious' with them as they seem to love absorbing and then displaying the the smallest amounts of oil/grease...
