Smoking Tips of the Newbs, By a Newb, For the Newbs

Thad, Great info! I took me a while to have patience and let it be, too. Welcome to the site. I've been working way too much these past few months, but looking forward to smoking some ribs and chicken for Thanksgiving this year. Thanks again and have a great Thanksgiving.

    Tonight's smoke

I must say, you had one amazing day on the smokers. I like your idea of adding bourbon and a splash of scotch in the #5. I'll try in next time myself. Enjoy your Sunday before another work week.

Looking to smoke 4 whole chickens

Yea - but it's the smokin' experience and the taste that makes it all worth while.

    Holiday Spares

Jim - The ribs look great. Also, great idea - small grill with dogs and a skirt steak. My wife even likes the idea! Nice backyard too.

    temp too high

Albert - Just took it off. Starting to make the #5 and see how it goes. Pics to follow. Took 14 hours - temps pretty much stabilized. There was a definite difference about 30 degrees from the lid to the ET-73. Thanks again.
