WiFi Stoker Kit Automatic Temperature Control System

You need to set your stoker pit temp to about 50° below what you are wanting. From there take it up in 10° to 20° increments. Remember to keep the lid closed and use the temp probe to keep an eye on the food.

    Problems with DigiQ

Sorry Mike I reread your first post and I was the one confused. Sounds like a controller problem, Hope you get it worked out. Joe

    Problems with DigiQ

Mike you never mentioned damper positions. I had the same problem with mine the first time using it. The fix finally ended up being: 1. the fan damper set to about ½ and 2. the top vent on the smoker set to about 25% or less open depending the pit temp desired. Don't be afraid to experiment...

    Digi not holding temp

Andy, with my CQ wifi I had to close the fan damper to about 50%. Also my top vent is nearly closed all the way. Experiment and you'll find the right setup.

    WSM running hot??

I found using my CyberQ wifi and shooting for 250°F that the vent on the fan has to be open about 50% or a little less and the top vent on my Big Steel Keg closed most of the way. I would first check for leaks like Russell said then do a test run and experiment with the vent settings.

    Cyber Q WiFi Help

Bob, the only thing I can think of is that DHCP is not enabled on your router. I looked on my wrt54g and the default is enabled. What I don't see is DHCP reservation. I'm currently using a newer e2000 router and it has DHCP reservation. Maybe someone else will chime in and help you out. Joe

    Cyber Q WiFi Help

Bob, mine is set on 'WPA Auto, phrase'. Also, when starting your Cyber Q it will eventually tell you 'no network' shortly after that the food temp will show and the control buttons will be flashing, you are now connected to your network. Make sure you select the same type of security you have...

    Cyber Q WiFi Help

Bob, I use DHCP mode on my Cyber Q. This mode let's the router assign the IP address. In the router you can reserve a certain IP address to a MAC address. I would first put your Cyber Q into DHCP mode. Then turn it on and see what IP address the router has assigned and wright it down. Then go...

Stoker Black Box wifi drops constantly

Hey guys I've been following this thread because with my stoker I have the same problems. I bought a wifi extender and placed it next to the stoker and it still dropped. I also have the Cyber Q and it works flawlessly. My vote would go to the Cyber Q.

    Which one to get?!

I have both the Stoker Wifi and the CyberQ Wifi units. The Stoker works fine but drops the Wifi connection constantly. If hard wired to my router everything is fine. The CyberQ Wifi only connects wirelessly but I have never had it drop out. I also like the damper that is built in to the blower...

Setup the CyberQ for 300° and let it bring the Keg up to temp. Chicken and Spuds on the Keg. Here's the graph of the entire cook. 1. First spike was the chicken going on. 2. Second was just a food check. 3. At 2:10 I raised the Pit temp up to 350° 4. The third dip was to sauce the Chicken...

CyberQ Wifi first cook - Pork Butts

My first cook using the CyberQ Wifi went without a hitch. I will need to tweek the setting on the fan throttle and the Keg's lid vent. Over all I'm very pleased with the performance of the CyberQ. As you can see in the graph I started them at 1:30 p.m. and finished at just before 10:00 p.m...
