Does anyone know if the holes in the kettle are different locations now than on earlier performers? I was wondering if the holder has been configured differently or the holes are in a different spot. Anyone with insight know? Thanks!

I bought an unused older weber rotisserie off ebay that included a counter weight. I don't get how you are supposed to set it. It kept flopping around and interrupting the turning of the motor, so I just took it off and continued to cook. Is it necessary?

The manifold is new, just purchased from weber. I just noticed that when cooking, it was a little hotter on the right side. Still cooks like a champ. I'll take the grates and bars out this weekend and play around with it a little.

What is a good way to diagnose and fix hot spots in a 1996 Weber genesis? I refinished one with new burners and manifold recently (pictures in another thread). It cooks well, just seeing if there is a way to tweak performance. Thanks!

Thanks for all the help and advice, Weber community! I bought this grill for $30.00 in December, just finished it this weekend. The wood is White Oak with 4-5 coats of spar urethane. New innards. Cooks AWESOME!
