That's not a brown ring on some of the redheads from the 1990's.
Just a darker, more burgundy like color, as on my MT, and Alton Brown's "Old Fireball"

There's lots of Army Aviation in that area. If this grill is owned by a soldier that is being reassigned -especially overseas- as the move date gets closer the price will drop.

I used to buy a OTS from the PX at every duty station because the cleanliness rules were so intense for going or returning from overseas.

Wish I still had my first but I was reassigned too many times since the early 80(s).

I don't think it's overpriced at all. The condition is just amazing and we don't see too many of these over here. I know Performers are all over Craigslist in California though.
