The tanks if the right style with the 3 leg star knob can be recertified by a propane distributor the ones that service homes and businesses.
James there is also a small adapter that you can buy from Amazon if yours did not come with it so you can refill the bottle from a larger source say a 20lb bottle off your gasser.

Oh yeah congrats on a good buy of a great grill, enjoy.

Thanks Kevin, my gasser is natural gas so that's no go. I do have a larger tank for my turkey fryer/homebrew burner.
