WSM Stacker


 
Hey folks, just got off the phone with Fred from Fred’s music and he informed me that the ProQ Stacker for the WSM is expected in early July unless the boat sinks or things get held up in customs. He said at this point it’s totally out of his control and knows that those who ordered are chomping at the bit to get theirs. He assured me that as soon as they come in, he will get them out as fast as humanly possible.
 
Did he say anything about supply and demand? I know in the begining it was first come first serve, but I just wonder how many people have put theyre order in over the last few months, and if enough are comming across on the boat to meet the demand. Thought I'd ask since it seems your on a first name basis with him...

Not sure how many are expected in or how many have been ordered. I'm sure they will start sending them out to the first person that pre-ordered then out to each person there after and so on. As far as first name basis, I just happened to call in and he answered, seems like a really cool guy.
 
Just wondering if anyone has heard anything lately on the stacker. I noticed that the status has now been changed to sold out for preorder on Fred's site so I'm curious to if they found out how many were going to be received.
 
Maybe it means that it'll show up on my door step tomarrow

I've got 4th of July plans that can't be made until I know if I'll have my stacker by then.

Wish we could find something out for sure.
 
I talked with them yesterday afternoon and they are expecting the shipment to arrive "very, very soon".

On arrival, it will have to clear customs but that shouldn't be a big delay.

He said all the shipping labels, etc were ready and the stackers will be shipped out the morning after they get them in the warehouse.

Sounds like they are in top of it!
 
Thanks for the update Lee. I sure hope they ship soon as I'm also planning a big smoke for the 4th. Let's all keep our fingers and toes crossed.
 
I just got an email from Fred saying "the ship arrived in Philly yesterday". If there are no issues, he should have them this week.

Yup, I just got a call from Fred. He hopes for arrival soon, and will process orders as soon as he gets his hands on them.

Q'n, Golf'n & Grill'n.... too many choices!

FYI - Just got off the phone with Fred. Wanted to let him know that I will pick mine up. He offered that he should have them in hand this Friday unless there is some unforeseen problem or complication with customs.

Hmm, maybe just in time for a trial multi cook for the holiday (Son's 21st birthday party). Fingers crossed

Remember...I'm only the messenger. Fred posted on another forum that Customs had tagged his shipment on one of their random spot checks for inspection and he believes that he will not take delivery until around the 4th and that they will ship shortly (almost immediately) once he takes delivery.
 
Followed up with Fred today. His container was pulled for a random check by customs. This means they are still in Philadelphia. Currently this is expected to add another week of delay until they get to Reading. I'll check back with them again next week.

Thanks for the update Ray. Bummer they wont arrive in time for the 4th of July weekend.

Latest news...
The container has cleared customs and should be with Fred today or tomorrow, so you should get your new toys really soon.

Sorry for all the delays.
