WSM 18 Cart


 
You could with some mods I guess.
It says 18 and 22 kettles but the radius will be wide for a 18.
If you could find an old 18" performer cart ( rare ) that would be perfect.
 
You'd have to mod that out to get it to work.

The cross bar would have to get sawed off.

And the open grate on the bottom would have to be modded or else the WSM legs will fall through.

I think the triangle wheels or the Harbor Freight cart are better options. Pretty easy and cheap too.

Here's the WSM 18 attached to cart I got off Amazon. Was able to leave the crossbar. I used a piece of scrap wood to mount smoker to. I want to get a piece of sheet metal to mount it to eventually.

Glad to see that it worked out so nicely! I got that cart under wife’s orders and had considered that too, I set mine up as a dedicated 22” rotisserie cart and could not be more pleased!
I might consider doing that with another one!
Timothy, where have you seen an 18” performer? I have never seen one!

Thread '18.5 Performer or Frankenweber?'

Thanks to the great site here and my WSM, I have been bitten by the charcoal bug. I found the grill below on CL for $40. Looks to be in good shape but missing the ash pan which I can replace easily. It's a date code DD, so a 2000 model on the kettle. Did Weber sell 18.5 Performers around that time? I haven't been able to come up with anything related to that. Here's the entire unit.

Now here's what really threw me....it looks like a bottom of a kettle with leg holes available for a regular stand-up kettle...
 
The top vent location is a dead giveaway on those older performers and kettles'
18 vent is parallel with the handle while the 22 is in line.
