WSJ-Spatchcocked Chicken?

Can a spatchcocked chicken (6-7 lbs.) be cooked in the Weber Smokey Joe Silver. It looks like it can fit. Asking for a friend and we are headed out for a road trip this weekend. Pros and cons would be helpful. Thanks!

I think that might seriously push the envelope, that’s a big chicken for a smoky joe

Would it not depend on which version of SJ he has? I have one that is 18" which would easily do a bird like that. I actually have done so.

Good point Larry, my smoky joe is the old small one. 14” or something like that.
