I thought I saw a ranch kettle in the background too

Definitely a ranch in the background. The bubbling is weird. I wonder what would cause that. Heat? Dirty surface before paint… strange I have one of the same vintage and the paint on the shelf seems fine

That's rust causing the bubbling. I would check the frame.

I wonder if there is a pool just out of the picture? Chlorine can exacerbate rusting.

That's a bummer. Looks like astroturf so wondering what's the source of water on the grill and patio? Gotta keep your grill dry! And Modesto, not much rain or humidity there, just hot hot hot.

The 4th pic shows a hose reel (leaking) so he might of just rinsed that area off.
