I have a new unused 19 inch WSM that I bought back in 2007. My neighbor wants to buy it but I cannot find the original invoice. I remember being on the old forum and someone sent me a link to a "hot" price. My old brain thinks it was about $170.00 or less. Does anyone remember what they sold for and what is the difference between my model and the newer one. I see that the new model has a thermometer. What else? Is that old model worth $150.00?? Thanks

The new 18 1/2" WSM has a bigger water bowl. If you don't use water, the older water pan is actually better. The new model also has an improved door lock.

$170 sounds about right. I got a really good deal in 2004 from Amazon - $140 shipped. By 2007, a good deal would have been $170. They probably averaged around $200 normally at the time. That said, it's worth more than that today because you sure can't get a new one for under $200. I just got rid of the one I bought (also new/unused) and I got $150 for it. I actually got $175, but I included a chimney and a couple other things so the person could do their first cook without having to go to the store. This was to a good friend and I know he's very happy with the money he spent. Unless the neighbor is a good friend, I'd start at $190 (keep it under $200). I think it's worth $175 all day.

By the way, it's 18 1/2 inches - not 19".
