No wabbits were hawmed during this wainy evening cook.
Enough Elmer Fudd talk.

No time to wet brine, so I hit 'em hard with K salt, and a light sprinkle of sugar.

After a couple of hours, rinsed and dried well, then indirect with a little hickory.

Straight-up shot from the grill. My river birch canopy is bare, and no longer provides protection.

My Maria sits forlorn, and possibly a bit jealous.

Time to add lump to the burned down Kb.

Constant turning to crisp up.

Not wanting them to lose their crispiness, a bowl of warm bbq sauce, and a bowl of warm Franks w/melted butter was readied for dipping, just before eating.

And they were some fine eating!

The wing tips were cooked to provide a pint of broth to be used in turkey dressing next week.

Thanks for the visit, and Happy Thuwsday evewybody!

Great lookin' Flappers buddy!
You gonna keep your Maria outside all winter long? Ain't got room in the GeeRaj?

Thanks for the kind words everyone, and for putting up with my silliness!

Jim,
The GeeRaj is on the upper level, and half full of our son's 'stuff' so Maria has to tough it out.

Bob H,
That would be the little Fuji clicking the pics.

Ya know Rolf, I was gonna say the same thing (& some crack about a Clint Eastwood movie), but since yer close... I guess you win! Wice wookin' wings, Wob!
