WinCo $2.98 Tri Tip

Can't pass up $2.98 TT, granted I have to trim off the fat cap which probably make the actual cost around $3.50, but that's still a great price. It went from an IT of 122 to 137 in a blink of any eye, I try to pull TT right at 130 but missed, I blame it on the weather, it was 107 degrees in partial shade while cooking the TT. Can't complain too much, still quite tasty

Looks good Chuck. I remember when we first moved to Arizona 21 years ago, I would always find TTs in the dog food section of the meat department (managers mark downs) and I would snag them. Nobody here knew what they were. Used to get them for around $1.75Lb, then the Californias started moving here in droves and they sure knew what they were. Don't see them much anymore and never in the dog food section.

Looks great Chuck. I love tri tip. I'll have to check my local winco and see if they have any at that price.
