Will this side burner fit my Genesis ?

That is the piezo igniter. It is a single piezo button for both the grill and side burner.

Ant, you need that spring in the quick connect. Otherwise the quick connect will be prone to coming apart on it's own.

Bruce, I have a quick question about the quick connect. ;-) On my Platinum C, if I disconnect and remove the side burner, does the sliding collar (at manifold) seal itself when not connected, or do I need to remove that fitting and install a plug in the manifold? If so, do you know the thread size?

If it is operating correctly, it should seal itself. But, if you are deleting the side burner permanently, I would replace it with a plug.

Okay, thank you. I wasn't sure if the thread was 1/4" or 1/8" MIP.

As I refurbish it, I'm debating whether to replace the side burner with a shelf, or to hot-rod it with an infrared sear burner.

Scott, I can only state the reason I plugged mine was to do a side burner delete and add a shelf.
