What time do you serve ?

I never gave it much thought as we usually try to get everything done around 3 p.m., but I saw Martha likes to do 2 and most others like noon.

Curious at what time you prefer.

It gives more time for a normal sleep and morning routine before the prep and cooking chaos begins.

Around here, it used to be when the bird was done and rested. Since I started cooking, vacuum sealing and freezing ahead of time, it's time when Miriam says it is; usually between 3 and 4PM. I thaw the day before and pop the sealed bags into a big pot of simmering water about an hour before she wants to serve. Comes out of the bags just like it went in.

Anytime between 2 and 4pm. Really depends on when I get the turkey rested and carved, while trying to time the ham and all the sides. It's typically a ton of chaos, but some adult beverages help keep everyone mellow.

Usually around 5pm; gives us enough time to watch the Lions game then get the turkey carved and everything on the table.

Usually between noon and 1:00 pm. Gives me time to go into my turkey coma before waking up to drive home.

4pm. Basically after the first football game. Being from Detroit, it’s always been a game we’re playing so tradition has built up around the game.
