This was the first pizza cook at the cabin. We forgot our stone so had to brainstorm some options.
Got the old Kettle setup to get hot and pre-heated the “stone” 😬

Cast Iron was hot! Added some pear wood and got things going!IMG_6475.jpegIMG_6477.jpegIMG_6478.jpegIMG_6481.jpegMunched a little on the first one while I tended to the pizzas IMG_6479.jpegThese cooked in about five minutes IMG_6480.jpegIMG_6484.jpegIMG_6486.jpegSunday night was pork tenderloin, crostini, and some squash. Crostini kind of stole the show…IMG_1701.jpegDid the pork over the used briquettes from the pizza cook. Added some hickoryIMG_6498.jpegIMG_6499.jpegIMG_1699.jpegIMG_1700.jpegIMG_6501.jpegCheers!IMG_6488.jpeg

Great audible to use the CI skillet as a stone!! Looks like it worked pretty good, too! :)

More great cooking in the woods!!

CI pan pizza would have worked too. cook like a regular pan and then put the pizza on the bbq for some charcoal smoke/wood flavor for the final minute.

nice recovery. great looking pies.

your t-shirt should read "no bad days."
