We've developed a bad infestation of carpenter bees in our pergola. I'm not quite ready to replace it just yet,so I had to paint it. The little suckers supposedly can't tell it's wood behind the paint!

It was just weathered PT pine,so it looks much better! Unfortunately,I forgot about overspray.

OOPS! Time to get out some cleaner and a scrub pad!
I didn't have time to fire up the pizza oven, but Pammi wanted pizza. I have 2 grills to choose from and I went with the Genesis! Preheated the stone on high for 20 minutes while Pammi prepped the pie. It came out after 10 minutes. This was about 7-8 minutes in.

Wow,that was a tasty pie! We've finally found a crust that we both liked. Crisp and chewy. Very nice for when the fambly comes next month!
One of Pammi's coworkers had her first child last week. Pammi volunteered me to cook dinner. She asked what I wanted to make. Duh,ribs! I took 2 slabs of St. Louis style and rubbed them with a modified Memphis dry rub I found online. Cooked 1 slab MM with some peach for 4 1/2 hours. It looked like this.

I also cooked them a small pan of doctored beans as a side.
I put a second slab on just before we left with some more of the same rub.
"Aunt" Pammi was very happy to get baby time with little Al!

We also got to see a former coworker of hers with HER 6 week old. Pammi was just in baby hog heaven!
And.awaiting us when we got home.were the ribs. No time to reheat the beans,so I threw some corn we had on the Genesis and feasted on this!

These were some of the best ribs EVER!Not too smoky and that rub was to die for! Didn't even need sauce! Better news? I have 5 bones in the fridge for lunch tomorrow! Wooooooo! Thanks for looking everyone.
