in the mood for some beef the other nite and we had a bargain strip/tip steak in the freezer.....
thawed it , needled it and gave it a few hours to meditate in a bath of italian dressing.
fished it out of the bath and dusted it in Montreal steak seasoning....heated up the 'grillgrates' and seared it and all that.

took a potato and diced it up , coated it with oil and gave it a good coating of Weber roasted garlic n herb rub. threw the spuds on just a bit before the beef , actually...
did up a butternut squash from my garden....the squash this year was small , but had a beautiful deep orange color and really nice nutty flavor.

sorry for the lack of a plated pic , but this was really seat of the pants cooking (as usual , i guess
)
anyway , you would never guess this was cheap steak. between the marinade and the MSS and a perfect mid rare outcome (thank you Thermapen)
this tasted like Ruth Criss steakhouse to me. the sides were pretty Boss , as well.
good eatin' tho ! thanks for looking.
