Yes it's a refillable. And yes, it still works. It's quite a hefty unit.Is it a refillable butane lighter? Cool looking lighter. Still work?
So John, why were these never available in the United States? I think one would be very nice to have for us “kettleheads”!There were 3 lighters that we sold in Europe at one point in time.
The one you have, and these 2 others.

The European market has always been a bit more adventurous when it comes to their accessories and what they think they can sell. Retailers stateside are much more grill focused since there's a veritable ocean of accessories available. Boils down to something like "Why should we carry and devote shelf space for your $10 lighter and sell 25 of them a year when we can sell 500 Bic lighters for $3 in that same timeframe."So John, why were these never available in the United States? Fair enough but, Gee! Cheap isn’t always cool, in fact it rarely is. There are times when a “higher degree of elegance” is certainly welcome! The European market has always been a bit more adventurous when it comes to their accessories and what they think they can sell. Most Weber items carry a higher price tag than a lot of competitor products. For a grill we can tend to sell the item more easily since there's a more discernable value. For something like a lighter that's simply a bit nicer looking it can be a harder sell. That said, I completely agree!Fair enough but, Gee! Cheap isn’t always cool, in fact it rarely is.
