Got a email advertisement from Weber stating that the Smokefire will be 200.00 off for Holiday sale.
A Gen 2 at 200 off is a good deal.

Anyone know of other deals on pellet grills? Sadly, asking for a friend, but he's looking at Weber, RecTec, Camp Chef.

I'm beginning to agree.

The Rec Tec 590 , a very similar size smoker as SF EX4 , sells for $900. RecTec has a much better pellet grill rep than Weber. And for $100 more than SF, don't have to worry about glitches.

I love Weber products, I have never used a smokefire but watched all the issues they had. I was actually looking at a new one yesterday at a barbecue galore and though “wow this thing looks cheap” and looking in the hopper I could see they are still using the retrofit pellet shoot. Doesn’t look like it holds many pellets either.

If it were me and I was set on a pellet grill I would look for a used Yoder, maybe a Rec Tec, traeger etc. smokefire would be low on my list
