My thought exactly. I frequently use the warming rack on my 330.
I have always thought someone should make this. I saved for now. I am very interested to hear what you guys think after receiving them. These aren't super cheap, but you get two sets of stainless steel pins for the price of one set of OEM Weber ones. I ordered these for my personal use as I'm tired of rusty ones that I have to keep cleaning up to look nice. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FLXHHVYP?tag=tvwb-20
You probably can if you just look for the right sized ones that don't specifically say they are for Weber grills.I agree Jon, but dang, they are easier to make than SS bolts. You should be able to buy a 20 pack for $5
I’ve actually looked for stainless cross drilled clevis pins for a ridiculous amount of time. I admittedly get frustrated with the internet and will cut bait after 15-20 minutes, but finding these in the same length, and girth (in SS) has been super frustrating. You probably can if you just look for the right sized ones that don't specifically say they are for Weber grills.
Then I don't feel too bad about buying these. Besides, I'm not going to put them on flip grills anyway.I’ve actually looked for stainless cross drilled clevis pins for a ridiculous amount of time. I get the buying local and supporting the brick and mortar guy, but they really should not cost that much.I was actually quite surprised when I went to the Ace hardware for a set of SS bolts for the rotisserie mount.... 1/4-20x1/2 bolts were like a buck each --- I wasn't expecting them to be that much. Seems like anything made out of SS is 5X the price of normal hardware.
I usually buy mine at Ace hardware too. I honestly can't remember how much they were. I usually reuse most of a grills original bolts anyway so I'm not buying them in bulk or I would just get them on Amazon. I do always replace the cook box bolt and nut with stainless ones, and sometimes frame bolts if I have a loose frame to try and tighten it up.I get the buying local and supporting the brick and mortar guy, but they really should not cost that much.
I bought a bulk bag of 1” 1/4-20 bolts from Menards quite cheap. I want to say 50 were around $5-6. Bolt depot is cheaper if you find that happy medium of what you’re ordering, vs cost of shippingI get the buying local and supporting the brick and mortar guy, but they really should not cost that much.
Yep, totally get it.I only needed TWO bolts and nuts --- I was NOT going to buy a bunch just to get them cheaper.... Ace/TrueValue/McLendons are the stores where you can buy onesies and twosies..... but you pay their price for them.
