The SS kit I got for an e330 is very nice. All non-magnetic. The bars are thick, naked eye says 16ga. The heat deflectors aren’t super beefy. But all together weighs 8.5lbs. For less than $30, definitely worth buying.

You used to be able to pick those up on Ebay for about $40-$50 NIB. With a little inflation and the fact that they haven't been made in many years means they are getting more and more rare which leads to the prices soaring.

That does seem to be a lot for one those, you really gotta like those things for that kind of money. I have a theory as to why you still see them popping up on eBay in new condition. A lot of people (myself included) got them for Father's Day, Christmas, etc. and didn't really want it so on a garage shelf it went. I thought the idea of it was cool, I just didn't like the way it looked.

I don't need one but if I did I feel like this would be a reasonable price for a nice looking control panel. It looks a little bit streaky but I believe it just has water on it from wiping it down.
