Yah, I am not sure, but sure seems to have changed since I started rehabbing these grills 7 or 8 years ago. It seemed like good lids were a lot more common.....but, yah, then that was 7-8 years ago.

Just let the seller of the lid know that if the deal with the other guy falls through that you can purchase/pick-up at the earliest convenience.
But personally If I wanted it I would offer the seller $50 and tell him I can pick it up ASAP.
